The Udaisarovar is a private lakeside retreat on the shore of Udai Sagar at Lakadwas, twenty minutes from Udaipur's City Palace — five bedrooms, an infinity pool that melts into the lake, wide lawns and evenings by the fire. It is small by design, so every stay feels like your own estate.
Four elemental cottages
Our cottages are named for the elements — Air, Water, Earth and Fire — each a private space facing the lake or the pool, with a Family Suite for larger groups. Book a single cottage, or take the whole property: a full five-bedroom buyout with all meals.
Days on the water
Mornings start with a swim at the lake's edge — our infinity pool opens 8–11 AM and again 4:30–7:30 PM. Afternoons are slow: chess and ludo in the shade, badminton on the lawn, chai by the water. As the light goes, the bonfire is lit and the open-air screen comes on for a movie under the stars.
Horse riding by the lake
Our white horse is part of the family here. Ride across the lakeside lawns with our riding partner — a favourite with children and couples alike.
Dining
Lake City Cafe serves fresh, home-style vegetarian food from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM — Rajasthani thalis, live BBQ nights and candle-lit dinners set up on the shore, with the palace lights of Udaipur across the water.
